Welcoming our new artist: Stefan Mildenberger

We are absolutely delighted to welcome artist Stefan Mildenberger who joined us this week at Vanja Contemporary.

Stefan who lives and works in Hamburg/Germany, is a promising new artist whose work is already part of private collections and exhibitions. His work is currently on show in Switzerland at the Bromer Art Collection and in Germany at Kunsthaus Jesteburg

His work can predominantly be seen as a comment on the constant media flow our generation is subjected to. In the series 'What If the Television Is On' he is scanning audio-visual information of TV programmes directly from screen and transforms them into abstract prints. At Vanja Contemporary we are offering a special limited print edition of this series.

In another body of work titled 'Fences' he is merging landmark buildings and presents them in disturbing but also elegant montages. By doing this he achieves to blur and almost negate their representational functions and auras.

We would like to encourage you to have a look and discover the diversity of Stefan Mildenberger's portfolio!
